VAN GROTE EN KLEINE VOGELS, for soprano and audio tracks on 3 poems by the Dutch poet Lucebert, was composed  in 1987 by request of Herfstschrift Groningen and commissioned by the Dutch FPA. The music is based on 3 poems from the book ‘Oogsten in de dwaaltuim’, dedicated to soprano Djoke Winkler Prins who sang the world premiere 1-11-1987 at the Kruithuis, Stadsschouwburg Groningen and  in many different places, like museums, concert halls and festivals in the Netherlands. The American premiere by Maggie Finnegan took place at the {Re} Happening Festival at Black Mountain College in North Carolina, March 2018. There are 3 movements:
