Green Drake, for solo bassoon, accordion, string quartet and double bass, was composed for a bassoon festival at the Amsterdam Ysbreker and premiered by Dag Jensen and an ad hoc ensemble on  May 9-11 1992.
A green drake, or day fly, may fly or ephemera,  is a small insect, that is being born in the morning and dying in the evening of the same day.
